Berserk Kai (2026)

Berserk Kai is a re-edited fan edit that retells Berserk in a more faithful and cohesive way, closer to Kentaro Miura’s original legendary manga. It follows Guts, a wandering mercenary, whose life becomes intertwined with Griffith and the Band of the Hawk—leading from battlefield glory to a tragic descent shaped by ambition, fate, and sacrifice. The project combines Berserk (1997), the 2013 Golden Age trilogy, Berserk (2016), the Memorial Edition (2022), and select fan animations by ARCHE and SweetHeartist. Berserk Kai offers fans an alternative, manga-aligned way to experience the story in animated form. It starts with the Black Swordsman arc, then moves through the Golden Age, the fall of dreams, and the horrors that follow. Created by a fan, for fans, Berserk Kai is a tribute to Miura’s masterpiece — preserving its tone, tragedy, and unforgettable characters while offering an alternative way to experience the story in animated form.
